Dairi Tourism : Taman Wisata Iman

This potential, by the Local Government Dairi viewed as one of the regional asset for the future development of this district, especially the development of religious tourism. Therefore, in early 2001, Dairi Regent who was then occupied by Dr. Master P Tumanggor designing an area in which there are few facilities able to accommodate all worship the religions in the district. To realize the idea, then regent gather some community leaders and religious leaders around the Dairi Regency to dialogue in order to realize this plan. The meeting gained agreement on the construction site of Iman Dairi Tourism Park which is in Hills Sitinjo Dairi, District Sitinjo. The location is covered by forest and pine trees, very nice to serve as the regional religious (faith) as well as the tour.
By utilizing the land area of 13 hectares, the local government to build several places of worship, such as church, mosque, temple, Temple, as well as playground and support facilities for day trips. Development projects are implemented within a period of 3 years starting from 2001 until 2003 as an early stage of development. Walking a few minutes from the location of the statue of Abraham and Moses, there are cave symbolized the Virgin Mary as a holy woman for Catholic Christianity. Inside the cave there is statue of the Virgin Mary is flawless in a standing position using a white robe clothing combined with light blue. Cave with a small size is built right on the slopes of the hills with manghadap door to the valley. After passing through the Cave of the Virgin Mary, the tourists will be served a house of worship (Temple) Hindu. The temple was built following the design of these ancient buildings like temples located in Bali, especially building the tower.
While on the inside of the park, there is a miniature of the Kaaba as found in the Grand Mosque, Mecca. All around the Kaaba miniature buildings decorated with colorful flowers. With the presence of this miniature, it is expected the visitors mainly Muslims to recognize their religious symbols while traveling. Not far from the Thumbnail Kaaba, stands a mosque that is destined for Muslims in performing worship.

Garden of faith tourism is also decorated with some beautiful natural scenery and rows of pine forest that was so shady. River flowing from the hills, add to the attraction of this park. The composition of buildings of worship combined with stunning natural beauty, making Iman Dairi Park as one of the favorite tourist sites in Dairi district.
Iman Dairi Tourism Park is located in Bukit Sitinjo Dairi, District Sitinjo, Dairi, North Sumatra Province, Indonesia. To get to the Park area travel Iman Dairi Wisatan can be reached by using public transportation (buses), private cars, or car rental. If using public transport (bus), the trip started from Medan’s Polonia Airport to the city Sidikalang (Capital City Dairi), a distance of 152 km with about three hours travel time. From City Sidikalang, proceed to the location which is about 10 km with a travel time about 15 minutes.
Inside the park there is a building used to post security. This entry is used by officers to oversee the park and to control the security of the visitors. At some point in the garden, built several small cottages that can be used by tourists for a place to rest and shelter from the hot weather and rain.
The park is equipped with a dormitory accommodations, mes, and lodging. To support some religious activities that need a place with a large capacity, such as marriage, the Mass together, and the party at this park built an auditorium which has a large hall which can be used for such activities.
To accommodate the needs of consumption of the tourists, the park was built at a restaurant and mini market. The restaurant offers several menus for consumption and some snacks and instant noodle.
